Raid Canopy offers incredible strength and reliability in a light-weight aluminium design, that is loaded with user-friendly features that transform your dual-cab into an efficient, adaptable and customised base to both work and live out of.
Why compromise on your touring set up?
A modern-day rooftop touring set-up weighs between 125-150kg which is well beyond the limits of ABS and fibreglass canopies and will push most aluminium or steel canopies to their limits.
Raid has been engineered and tested to safely carry up to 180kg of dynamic load to ensure you don’t ever need to push your canopy to the edge.
Reliability matters, and it’s important you have confidence in your gear.
The Raid Canopy is arguably over-engineered; the internal clamping, bracing, gussets and tub strengthening brackets lad to us loading 2,500kg on the roof in testing before we finally broke it.
The strength of Raid does not come at the compromise of payload, at just 65kg fitted it is both one of the strongest and lightest on the market.
Many fibreglass and ABS models have very shallow and narrow side access. Raid offers large square cut windows to maximise access both in height and width making it much easier to place and retrieve things from the side of your ute. It’s a small thing, that makes a big difference.
From the start, the Raid Canopy is an immediately brilliant solution in its standard configuration, and for those who want to really ramp up the practicality, the options are almost endless.
Beyond the range of IRONMAN4 4X4 Raid Canopy Accessories, the incorporated M8 nutserts, cable management and integrated roof rails lend the Raid to simple accessorisation.
Real-world testing is a given – but we put Raid through something exceptional to ensure itwas fit for our customers
24 hour ‘shaker table’ = 1.6 million oscillations at up to 5Gs of force
Still works frozen!
Even down to -30 degrees Celsius our locks and gas struts remained completely operational

Well, don’t take it for a swim, but in the instances of natural weather, yes. Water cannot penetrate the glazier-grade sika-flex sealant that seals the canopy alongside our patented spreader plates. Our windows and doors are all sealed with automotive-grade seals, and our window hinges incorporate drains to push rain water away from the window openings.
A high pressure hose right around the tailgate, is likely to force water in. But otherwise, rest assure your gear is dry.
Cheaper to ship means cheaper to sell, our savings are your savings. But don’t think for a second that a modular canopy is any less capable or reliable than a welded one. The Raid Canopy is sealed with a world renowned Skiaflex –glazier-grade sealant that is used for installing car windscreens! Water is well and truly staying on the outside.
Ahh, dust. One of the greatest mis-representations is that canopies ‘leak like a sieve’. The reality is that most dust that makes its way into a ute tub is through the existing gaps on either side of the tailgate. Utes tailgates are inherently poor at keeping out dust. On top of that tubs commonly have holes and gaps throughout, commonly hidden by tub liners which might surpress, but don’t stop dust.
The Raid Canopy, for all intents and purposes is dust sealed on all windows and doors and has an incorporated pressure vent to further assist in dust reduction – but if you’re unhappy with the amount of dust in your canopy, first address the tailgate with a tailgate dust seal kit.
The Raid Canopy has been designed and tested to comfortably handle 180kg of dynamic load and 350kg of static load.
The load you can carry while the car is moving
The load the canopy is rated to while stationary. For example: a canopy with a 125kg rooftop tent and awning set up can accommodate an additional 255kg for people and luggage while sleeping.
Central locking is due in early 2026 for Raid canopies and can be fitted to existing canopies.
